💕 Dating/Love Your Memory of a Date Isn't a Perfect Recording

After an emotionally important date, it's easy to replay every sentence and assume you remember exactly what happened.

Human memory is reconstructive rather than a literal video recording.

Expectations, later information, emotions, and repeated retelling can influence how an event is remembered.

This becomes particularly relevant when analyzing ambiguous moments like “the way they looked at me” or the exact tone of one comment.

The more you replay a date in your head, the more confident you may become in details that weren't necessarily recorded perfectly in the first place.
