💡 Trivia Double Rainbows Have Their Colors Reversed

A double rainbow forms when sunlight is reflected twice inside raindrops. The second rainbow appears outside the primary rainbow and is usually fainter. Unlike the primary rainbow, the colors in the secondary rainbow appear in the reverse order, with red on the inside and violet on the outside.

This happens because of the different path light takes through the water droplets. Double rainbows are a beautiful demonstration of how light behaves in nature.
