Though we can’t hear it, the sun actually produces an enormous amount of sound, due to the constant rising and falling of heated material on its large surface. Were it to actually reach the Earth, it would be at the level of approximately 100 dB, creating a constant dull roar. Fortunately for humans, the vacuum of space keeps the sound from ever reaching this planet.
