The Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, PGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., believes that Atong Ang is still in the Philippines despite speculations that the businessman has already fled the country.
According to the PNP chief, based on Ang’s last known location, he’s still here in the Philippines.
“The last known place na pinuntahan niya, of course, is—matagal na yun, dito pa rin sa Pilipinas,” he said
PGen. Nartatez also mentioned that they are verifying reports on whether Ang has already fled.
“If there were reports that he is already, he fled already, leaving our country, we are verifying that, but to the strongest possibility, nandito siya sa Pilipinas,” he said
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) raises 20 million-peso reward for those who will give information leading to his arrest.
