💡 Trivia Pag trabahuhin ang mga tambay

The closest positive this would bring is, like you said, an increased economy

The negative is everything else aside from that. This is a mix of communist and dictatorship forms of government—far from what our republic envisions. Afterall, who decides kung sino ang tambay sa hindi? Where do we draw the line? And what specifically would they get from working? For example, would a college student from a poor family be considered a tambay? Would a middle aged layed off worker be considered a tambay? Additionally, where and who will they work for? Will it be government funded farm? Farmers who can't afford to hire people to help them? How about their experiences? Would they make the agriculture sector more productive? Will they actually contribute proper help? Or will they solely move their tambayan to farms and to be fed for free? There are so much more questions

In short, this proposal is too dreamy even if people might see it as promising. It violates multiple basic human rights as written in our constitution. In its very basic form, this is just slavery masked behind a well-constructed facadę, and we don't want slavery, communism, and dictatorship in our country, don't we?

Kapag ka maunlad na ang isang bansa. Kayang solusyunan ang komplekadong pamumuhay ng bawat isa wag lang sariling bulsa ang inuuana ng namumuno sa pamahalaan.

This is very much true. We were freed for the cost of thousands of lives, including those living dormant, during the wars and revolutions we fought, so an approach that basically enslaves people that has been freed is quite backwards in a sense. Though we are not technically an economically powerhouse, we can afford freedom to some extent, and that's what really matters in this case.
