WARNING re: PRIVATE DNS USE

Madalas may free tier.

Be safe.

Pwede iblock yung certain site, or worst iredirect

It's 99/mo.
Though, if you have the means, then self-hosting your dns server is still the best choice kasi hawak mo ang control.

Yung AdGuard Home DNS ko, may access ako sa logs. I have the capability to check kung ano ang binibisita ng mga nakasabi. Besides, I don't judge naman. Nasa tao na lang din yan. Basta yung sa akin, automatically clear and query logs every day. Hahahahahahaha

It's still an issue of TRUST. Whom the people trust more?
If anyone na gumagamit ng DNS server mo trusts you to handle their browsing data more than the big companies, then so be it, no problem about that.
But for me personally, I am trusting those big companies to handle my browsing data than some random person in a forum.
So, kanya-kanya na lang sigurong perspective yan when it comes to cybersecurity and info-security.
When all else fails, kargo mo mga yan. And I'm hoping you'll take responsibility when that happens
(coz in cybersec and infosec, It's not a question of if, it's a question of when, in this day and age)

It is indeed a matter of 'trust' and 'security'. If you trust big companies that are known to sell data, it's your call. I mean, yeah, many people would.

at least sila may napatunayan na sa industry, not some random person in a forum... well, it's still your choice...i'm choosing the big players...selling or not, they stayed for so long in the industry, di naman sila tatagal ng ganyan if wala silang credibility...how about a random person offering those things in a forum? it's still your choice whom to trust, i'd probably still trust those big players na may napatunayan na sa industry than some random unknown/anonymous person in any forum. i mean, aminin naman natin, would you rather trust your data with some unknown person in a forum or those big players na may naptunayan sa industry (Google, cloudflare, opendns, nextdns, etc.)? i bet you, yourself, will choose the latter, coz really, you still use them as your upstream dns in AGH, right? and even the VPS provider you're using.

Using the private DNS is optional. Its main purpose is to block ads, and it’s completely up to you if you want to use it. It has no other purpose. Regarding security, it’s already stated there’s no reason for us to use your logs. If your intention is just to help, then there’s nothing to worry about.
