He failed to disclose his extensive military background to the PH authorities.
He is trying to blend in at a local flight school, acting as a beginner student.
He was a trained military pilot, served as a soldier with fighter aircraft experience.
While his classmates were struggling with basic flight maneuvers, he was reportedly conducting "mapping exercises".
He used his solo flight training exercise to conduct aerial photography of Iba Airport, and above the Palauig River.
His favorite study spot is Palauig River, approximately five nautical miles from his training school and, coincidentally, the closest municipality to the contested Bajo de Masinloc (Scarborough Shoal).
