APP DESCRIPTION
Noir is a sophisticated USB camera viewer and HDMI display utility designed for devices running arm64-v8a architectures. It facilitates the use of an Android device as a portable monitor for gaming consoles, laptops, or drones through a dedicated USB-C capture card. Supporting both UVC video and UAC audio streaming, the application allows users to toggle between OpenGL ES and Vulkan graphics backends for optimized performance.
The Pro version offers a comprehensive suite of professional monitoring tools:
Advanced imaging: 3D LUTs, Waveform, Histogram, False Color, and Zebra patterns
Technical filters: Edge Detection, CRT Filters, and FSR 1.0 upscaling
Composition: Anamorphic lens support, stretch and crop, and pinch-to-zoom
System controls: App-specific volume, Picture-in-Picture, and zero-tracking privacy
Reliable operation requires USB Host (OTG) support. Users should ensure USB 3.0 compatibility for low-latency previews or utilize MJPEG formats for USB 2.0 hardware. Notably, HDCP must be disabled on source consoles like the PS5 to avoid signal blanking.
