Ito po ginawa ko sa windows 11 dito sa office.
Step 1: Add Each Other’s Credentials
To ensure both the printer host and the client computer can communicate properly:
On the client PC, open
Control Panel → Credential Manager → Windows Credentials.
Click Add a Windows credential.
Enter the following details:
Network address: \\<Printer Host IP> (example: \\192.168.1.10)
Username: The username of the printer host PC
Password: The corresponding password
Repeat the same process on the printer host PC, but this time add the client PC’s IP, username, and password.
This ensures both computers recognize and trust each other through saved credentials.
Step 2: Connect to the Shared Printer
On the client PC, press Windows + R, then type the printer host IP address like this:
\\192.168.1.10
and press Enter.
Windows will show the list of shared resources on that computer (including printers).
Right-click the shared printer and select Connect.
Wait for Windows to install the drivers and complete the setup.
Step 3: Test the Printer
After connecting, open Devices and Printers → right-click the newly added printer → select Printer Properties → Print Test Page.
Step 4: Done!
You can now print directly to the shared printer without re-entering credentials every time.
This setup works well for small office networks without a domain server.
Example setup summary:
Printer Host: 192.168.1.10, Username: printerpc, Password: 1234
Client PC: 192.168.1.12, Username: clientpc, Password: abcd
Shared Printer: “HP LaserJet 1020”
Both sides have each other’s credentials stored — connection succeeds smoothly.
