Shopify Development Team for a Fast-Moving DTC Brand

About the role
We are looking for one to three Shopify development teams that can operate at a deep code level, move quickly, and proactively recommend what to do next. You should know what is working in DTC today and be comfortable proposing, prioritizing, and shipping improvements without waiting for prompts.
What you will do
- Build, refactor, and maintain custom Shopify themes using Liquid, JSON templates, and metafields
- Develop or extend private and public Shopify apps using Shopify APIs, GraphQL, and Shopify CLI
- Install, configure, and replace plugins and add-ons. Own app selection and app hygiene
- Improve site speed and Core Web Vitals. Set up monitoring and alerting for regressions
- Design and launch CRO tests. Iterate fast on PDP, PLP, cart, checkout, and landing pages
- Implement data and growth stack items: GA4, GTM, Meta CAPI, Klaviyo, post-purchase upsells, subscriptions, review platforms, A/B testing
- Ship pixel-perfect sections from Figma and create reusable components that marketing can use without dev help
- Handle SEO technical essentials: structured data, sitemaps, redirects, internal linking, canonicalization
- Document your work and communicate clear weekly plans, risks, and wins
Required expertise
- Senior-level Shopify theme and app development. Proven work with Liquid, modern JavaScript, and Git
- Strong grasp of DTC best practices, CRO, and merchandising patterns that convert
- Comfortable with headless or hybrid builds when needed: Hydrogen, Remix, Next.js, Storefront API
- Experience integrating and tuning common DTC tools and apps
- Excellent communication in English. Able to own a backlog and move fast with minimal supervision
Nice to have
- In-house visual design or UX team that can deliver Figma files and on-brand graphics
- Motion graphics and section animations that stay performant
- Experience with beauty, CPG, or subscription commerce
- Teams based in the Philippines

What to include in your proposal
- Team overview: size, roles, time zone, main point of contact
- Three to five live Shopify stores you built or rebuilt. Include your role, what changed, and before-after results if available
- A short audit of a recent DTC Shopify store you admire. List 5 changes you would ship in week one and why
- Your 30-60-90 day plan for a high-impact engagement
- Rate card and retainer packages. Include hourly rates, typical monthly retainer, and emergency response terms
- Your tech stack and tooling: CI, code review, performance monitoring, error tracking, QA process
- Two client references with contact info
Trial project
Short ρáíd trial to start. You will build a modular landing section with metafields, responsive images, and analytics events, then ship one performance improvement with measurable impact.
