Job Description:
Technical Editor Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a technical editor. The responsibilities of the technical editor include reviewing the work of the writers and artists, checking for accuracy of data and information, verifying content from sources and references, developing quality control standards and guides as needed, and writing some documents as required.
A top-notch technical editor has excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and page composition skills. Familiarity with medical and scientific style guides and databases is preferred, and previous experience working on medical and scientific documents is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Conducting quality assurance on all documents and materials
- Reviewing documents and other materials for clarity, grammar, spelling, punctuation, content, and style
- Working with researchers and writers to ensure document accuracy
- Ensuring that all content and materials meet our company's standards and clients' requirements
- Conforming to strict editing guidelines and data privacy protocols
- Making any necessary corrections to documents and materials
- Giving feedback and advice to writers and artists
- Developing, communicating, and adhering to goals for content, workflow, and aim of writing
- Creating quality control checklists and guidelines as needed
- Writing short documents as needed
Technical Editor Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in journalism, English, or another related field
- Experience as a technical editor and in working with a variety of style guides is preferred; experience with medical or healthcare documents is a plus
- Excellent computer and word processing skills
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and page composition skills
- Ability to adhere to deadlines and handle pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
