nah, they will not "discontinuing" the aosp, afaik at sa pagiging marites ko, they will only update the repo once there is a release or major new release and some critical fixes, and I think they will not accept issues and PR (well they might accept issue to fix it)... anyways, I might be wrong (or my being marites is not high level enough)
