'KAPWA PILIPINO NATIN ANG CPP-NPA'
During GMA's Tanong ng Bayan senatorial face-off on Saturday, February 1, 2025, senatorial candidate Teddy Casiño was asked why he is not vocal in condemning the alleged atrocities of the CPP-NPA, given accusations linking some progressive groups, including Bayan Muna, to the communist group.
Casiño responded that while the government has labeled the group as "terrorists," they are still Filipinos advocating for the country’s betterment. He acknowledged that while many oppose their methods, progressive groups align with their cause rather than stand in opposition.
"Dapat hindi silang tratuhing terorista. Dapat hindi silang tratuhing kaaway," Casiño emphasized.
