PHAh, the customary newbie intro. Been lurking for a couple of days and now found the time to write this up (second post, actually).
Why am I here? Having been away from PH for so long, I thought it would be interesting to know what is available on offer from the local RSPs and the technology that is readily available. Google turned up a couple of forums, but the other one is practically dead. Having said that, even as this identifies as "Pinoy Internet and Technology Forums", I found it quite amusing that the most exciting section appears to be "Dating, Love & Relationship"?!
I work in the telecom industry (vendor side), so hopefully will be able to contribute in some form or fashion. From what I've read so far, it's nice to see far better internet access available to end users now than there was 20+ years ago. I also noticed that most of the home broadband questions have to do with RSP-provided gear (modems/routers), and that 4G/5G access abound. Where does fibre coverage end? Would also be keen to know of those using their own routers for specific features, too.
