We have seen many comments from disappointed gamers following CES laptop news who were only presented shown choices like Ryzen 9 9955HX and RTX 5070/5080 laptops from larger brands, while RTX 5090 was kept exclusive to Intel Core Ultra 200HX or sometimes Ryzen AI HX 370 CPUs. However, it seems Chinese companies are taking the first step in creating an entirely new class of AMD laptops, and this trend is no longer limited to a single brand.
The next-generation Machenike and Mechrevo laptops will feature AMD’s new generation of Ryzen 9000HX series CPUs combined with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs.
What’s important here is that these brands are not limiting GPU options to mid-range or high-end models. Gamers will be able to choose up to the GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, the flagship 24GB GDDR7 mobile GPU from NVIDIA’s Blackwell RTX series. This GPU features the GB203 processor with 10,496 CUDA cores and new 3GB modules unique to this SKU.

AMD has recently announced the launch of the Fire Range series of Ryzen 9050HX laptop CPUs. These are desktop-class processors equipped with the same chiplet design as Granite Ridge (Zen5), enabling up to 16 cores. Moreover, AMD has also confirmed that the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D will feature 3D V-Cache, similar to its desktop counterpart, the 9950X3D, which is set to launch in March.
The Mechrevo laptop includes an optional liquid-cooling system that enables “UltraBoost” mode, pushing power up to 280W. The Machenike laptop supports up to 230W. The RTX 5090 Laptop GPU is officially a 150W TDP model but supports up to 175W through Dynamic Boost. The Ryzen 9 9955HX3D is a 55W CPU that can potentially run at higher TGP levels under specific conditions. Machenike claims they will enable up to 125W TDP for this CPU.

These laptops are likely ultra-premium gaming systems, offering exceptional performance but with significant weight. Availability of both models will initially be restricted to the Chinese market. However, it’s possible they may launch globally, potentially pushing competitors to consider similar configurations for more gamers.
