'WALANG PROBLEMA SA KANYA PERO SA'KIN, MUKHANG MAY PROBLEMA'
Sen. Bato Dela Rosa E×ρréššed reservations about a potential request from the International Criminal Court (ICC) for the transcript of the recent Senate Blue Ribbon subcommittee inquiry into the Duterte administration's war on drugs.
In a press briefing on Tuesday, November 5, Dela Rosa stated his intention to question any move to submit the transcript, emphasizing his belief that such an action could imply recognition of ICC jurisdiction, which he views as inappropriate given the Philippines' official stance.
He highlighted that, while Senate President Chiz Escudero sees no issue with certifying the transcript for ICC, he himself has reservations.
Earlier, on November 3, Escudero noted in an interview that the transcript is already public, and there would be no problem with certifying it for legitimate purposes if requested by the ICC or any other party.
Senate Minority Leader Koko Pimentel, who chairs the Senate Blue Ribbon Subcommittee, indicated on November 4 that certified copies of the transcript would be available to those needing them for legal reasons.
