PHWATCH: A 43-year-old woman, Catherine Paypa Egam from Cagayan de Oro City, died on July 19 after a water sport accident in a resort in Sitio Basdako, Barangay San Vicente, Olango Island, Lapu-Lapu City.
Egam was participating in a jumping balloon activity on July 11 when a staff member jumped on the opposite end, causing her to bounce. She landed awkwardly, hitting her head, and fell into the seawater unconscious. The staff quickly rescued her and called an ambulance. She was taken to Sta.
