pakopya ng setup nyo. mahal kasi ang synology. goal lang naman ay meron ako ako backup ng mga files na pwede ko ma access anytime na no need ng pc. ayoko din mag bayad monthly ng cloud storage

Openmediavault guds na guds. Lightweight din. Meron din syang docker plugin directly sa omv na makikita mo sa dashboard

Yan gamit ko now, tho main use ko is for jellyfin haha

Tas alam ko pede mo installan ng self-hosted cloud storage para magamit mo kahit walang pc like nextcloud. Installed using docker/portainer

Gamit ko NextCloud using my PC (24x7 nka bukas) tapos yung 1TB ext HDD ko nka attach that serves as pinaka storage. Syncing all photos and videos from my smartphones and files na din kahit nasa labas. Balak ko ilipat sa SBC ung NextCloud para naman low-power consumption, hehe.

Pag outside network gamit mo, gumagamit kapa ba ng VPN to connect sa nextcloud mo or hindi na?

If gusto mo maaccess without vpn, need mo mag port forwarding. Wag gawin if di ka knowledgeable, kasi if mali setup mo, magiging vulnerable server mo. If need mo talaga, search ka tutorials and kelangan mo talaga siya aralin. And make sure na allowed ang port forwarding sa ISP mo.

Pero masmaganda kahit wag kana mag port forward, mag tailscale ka nalang, sapat nanaman yun for personal use.

Agree ako sir, mag setup ka na lang ng tailscale instead na mag port forward ka lalo na kung dhcp public IP mo. madali lang setup ung tailscale tapos i set mo na exit node para pag nag connect ka may access ka sa buong network mo hindi ung isang device lang.
