ST: No ads. Including sponsored ads in some content creators. ALL ADS ARE GONE with Smarttube.
Official YT: Annoying commercials/ads when you watch without premium subscription. Even with youtube premium there are some sponsored ads in youtube channels like from bigtime content creators.
ST: It has background play, screen off feature (perfect for playing music to save power), and picture in picture.
Official YT: No background play, no screen off feature and no picture in picture. With or without a youtube premium subscription these features does not exist!
SmartTube requires Android 4.3 or above. It does not work on non-Android devices (incl. LG or Samsung TVs). On unsupported TVs, you can use a TV stick or TV box. Though this app technically runs on smartphones and tablets, it is not optimized for such and offers no official support!
