Paul decided not to know anything among the Corinthians except for Jesus Christ and Him crucified. In 1 Corinthians 2:1-16, Paul explains that the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. He illustrates this principle by the Corinthian Christians, who were not wise or powerful, but God chose the foolish things of the world to put to shame those who are wise.
