👨‍🏫 Tutorial How to Remove DRM Protection from ACSM files

In this tutorial, we will show you step by step, how to remove the protection of a ACSM file. We don’t explain, what those ACSM files are.

1️⃣ Downloading and extracting requirements:

tar - xvf libgourou_utils-0.8.1-x86_64.AppImage.tar.gz
rm -rf libgourou_utils-0.8.1-x86_64.AppImage.tar.gz
cd libgourou_utils-0.8.1-x86_64.AppImage
2️⃣ Create a Adobe Account. For creation, you can use any fake email, just make sure, you have an account without 2FA. If you have your account, save the data somewhere, you need it later!

3️⃣ Now you need your ACSM file. Put it into the directory and move on.

First activate the account on our device, paste the email after -u and the password after -p
./adept_activate -u user -p pass
./adept_activate -u test@gmail.com -p Viperzcrew!1

Now we download the file from the ACSM file:
./acsmdownloader -f myfile.acsm

The downloaded file requires a password to open it, but if you need to open it in a normal viewing application, you can also remove the password (DRM protection):
./adept_remove file.pdf

The file can be .epub, .pdf, .mobi or any, just type correct filename

4️⃣ Converting to PDF if not PDF.

To convert the epub or mobi to pdf, you can either use calibre, or online websites :

sudo apt install calibre -y
ebook-convert file.epub file.pdf
