Proverbs 4:18 (KJV) But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

Walking in the light is much easier than walking in darkness. In darkness, we can trip over debris, step in puddles and ditches, or even wander off of the path entirely. It is no surprise that God promises to brighten our path when we walk in His righteousness, and that the light grows to its full noon-day brilliance the more we walk with Him.

Lord, lead me according to Your righteousness. On my own, I wander and stumble in the dark. I need Your light to mark my way so that I may remain on the path You’ve placed before me. Shine Your light on the hazards and snares, so that by Your wisdom, I may avoid stumbling, falling, or being led astray. In Jesus’ name, amen.
