President Marcos did not lose the chance to learn from the UK's finest practices and implement them in upgrading Philippine airports after embarrassing hiccups at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) during his visit for King Charles III's coronation.

On Friday evening, Marcos and his delegation landed at London's Gatwick Airport, where he, Speaker Martin Romualdez, and Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista were given a briefing and tour by representatives of Global Infrastructure Partners, the company that manages one of the UK's busiest gateways.

“Our vision for safe, efficient and sustainable airports in the Philippines is one step closer to reality,” Marcos said in a post on Twitter yesterday after exploring Gatwick Airport’s best practices firsthand.
