PHJob 33:4 (KJV) The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
We don’t exist by accident. Even in a time of great suffering, Job recognized that He was created on purpose, by God. And it is the Spirit of God who supplies our very breath, but this is not just the oxygen that we draw from the air. The Holy Spirit makes us alive in Christ, freeing us from the spiritual death brought on by sin.
Thank You, Lord, for giving me life. Thank You for my birth, my body, and the air that I breathe. And thank You for the gift of Your Spirit and the fullness of life that I find in You. You have rescued me from spiritual death, and I ask that You would fill me with Your Spirit each day so that every breath I take would honor You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
