There are three main types of clouds, classified based on their height and shape:
1. Stratus clouds - These are low, gray clouds that often cover the whole sky. Stratus clouds form at low altitudes and may bring light rain or drizzle.
2. Cumulus clouds - These are large, fluffy clouds that often have flat bottoms and rounded tops. Cumulus clouds are usually associated with fair weather when they are small, but can grow into thunderheads and bring thunderstorms.
3. Cirrus clouds - These are thin, wispy clouds that form high in the atmosphere. Cirrus clouds are usually a sign of good weather, but can sometimes indicate an approaching storm.
