🔒 Closed After changing mac address on pc, wala nang internet connection ung hotspot.

Hello, idk san ko to i ttag but since im using linux at windows, dito ko nalang to i aattached

So basically, i was trying to change my mac add in my pc so I did (na changed ko na) tapos, pag enable ko ung hotspot ko, bakit "connected but no internet access" ang naka lagay sa mga hosts (mga devices na naka connect sa hotspot ko). I am 100% sure na may internet access ung pc ko, yung mga devices lang na naka connected sa hotspot ko ang wala.

note: pero... pag binalik ko ung original na mac address ko, may internet access na sila...

in those kind of scenarios, bat walang internet access?
does it mean ba na ung chinange ko na mac address is virtual lang at hindi mismo sa WiFi card ko na aapply un? I doubt na yung hinahanap ng mga device na mac is ung orignal parin or irdk hahaha
last, pano sila i cconnect para may internet access na ung devices na naka connected sa hotspot ko sakali man pag chinange ko ung mac address. Need ko paba proxies? (feel ko lang)

Kelangan pa ng additional info like - does your wifi devices connect through your pc, or do they connect directly to the wifi router?
Yung "connected but no internet access" can be an indication of dns issue. To verify, from one of your wifi devices, ping 8.8.8.8. If successful, dns nga.
Pero kung maii-post mo ang network topology for us to better understand your setup, mas mainam.

In regards to changing the mac address, sa memory lang yung changes kase ang mac addy is burned-in, so can't be physically modified. Kapag ni-reboot mo yung pc, balik sa dati.
Ok pala at may ccna ka na. So you must know the correlation between mac-address:ip-address. I hope you got a good grasp ng OSI Model ng TCP/IP.

Hello, hindi ko po a SS kase physical ko ginawa, ndi virtual at alang topology. Tas ung chinange ko mac add is ndi po kusang bumabalik, manual po siya and yes po, may alam po ako sa mac address, ip add ... TCP/IP.

sadyang ngayon ko lang talaga na encounter ung gantong scenario.
