ScourgeBringer is a roguelike released a month after Hades ignited the gaming world. ScourgeBringer is an oversaturated roguelike that performs enough to make it worth watching. ScourgeBringer did enough to stand out and recommend it to me, but not enough to keep me coming back. As fun as the ScourgeBringer was, it struggled to keep me busy during longer sessions.While ScourgeBringer didn’t grab my attention for too long, it’s still a worthwhile game. Hmm, that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but as with most roguelikes, ScourgeBringers’ portable port is HARD. ScourgeBringer has a light story, which is normal for a roguelike, but you can gain some lore while racing by collecting text logs randomly scattered around the setting. All in all, if you’re looking for a truly portable version of the ScourgeBringers portable door, this is the one for you.

ScourgeBringer is a couple of rungs up the complexity ladder and I get straight to work without a palette cleaner. Avoiding damage is more important in ScourgeBringer than in most other roguelikes.Performance is generally good, although I feel like a portable port of ScourgeBringers was made for consoles, and I found noticeable slowdowns when there were a lot of enemies on screen. The soundtrack will be enough to keep you busy with fast-paced action, but then again, it can get quite repetitive after just a few runs.
I love the malleability of your characters’ airtime, the way you can travel to mid-autumn. You have the double jump and wall run of a gritty pixel platformer, as well as the high speed brawling and shooting of any number of fighting rogues. It is because of this feeling that you will play ScourgeBringer and enjoy ScourgeBringer.
Like Disc Room, it also has some nice accessibility options, including sliders for game speed and enemy bullet speed, among other options. Help Kira explore the unknown and navigate her way through ancient machines that guard the seals of her past, and perhaps the redemption of humanity.
