Overall, Papers, Pleases launch today is an emotional one, finally bringing Papers to smartphones nine years later. Papers, Please has won the BAFTA Game Awards in Strategy & Simulation, and recently won a Peabody for digital storytelling. Lucas Popes independent title was a monumental hit, eventually going on to receive two awards from the 2014 Game Developers Choice Awards, one for Innovation, and the other for Best Downloadable Game.
