🔒 Closed Notion R051 OpenWrt CFW WIP (Discontinued)

Here's a preview of a possible OpenWrt build for the Notion R051. The build still needs a lot of fixing and polishing to do, but the fundamental wired and wireless network function works normally.

If you wish to help to get this into production-ready state, and you know something of Linux and porting devices into OpenWrt, then perhaps you could contribute with the following needed information for this particular model:

no success the blf format from Marvell is proprietary soo i cant convert it

Please note that the installation of this firmware will be like MF286RA. Even though based on OpenWrt devices like R051 and R281, the flash layout is different, so you can't simply scp the image to the router and sysupgrade there.

You need to load the initramfs kernel via tftp then sysupgrade from there. This means you need to interrupt the boot sequence from u-boot, which means mandatory serial access via USB to TTL. I recommend CP2102 based USB-TTL serial converters.

Depends on how bricked it is. If the bootloader lives, then there's a chance for recovery.
