Why’d you have to go?
So sudden that we were overwhelmed?

We’re trying hard to cope,
And trying hard to hope,
Those hard times will pass us by.
But there’s no end in sight.

You left us hanging on;
Trying hard to find reality.

Trying hard to fill
a gaping hole,
That never should have opened.

But I need you to know,
That it doesn’t matter.
We all can’t move on,
But you’re already gone.

And I can’t even slow,
The tears running down my face.

Because day to day,
Month to month,
The pain just won’t go away.

And I wish you were here,
To make everything better.
And I wish we could show,
You all that we have done.
