there do exists some hierarchy but as long as there is no any discrimination they may do what they want. as for why they maintain their status it's just there are parts needed for elevated authority to be accessed.

some info may be filtered out for leechers though. depends on the thread starter. users maintain their status just to access those info.

deal with objectivity, don't look at ranks/groups since not all in ranks deserve the rank itself, even leechers are not all new users, so focus on the post's content and not on who posted
