DIY CLAY HEART EARRINGS
As much as I love earrings, I somehow ALWAYS lose them. Since it’s a pretty nasty (and expensive) habit, I’m attempting to make more of my own. Cut of a chunk of clay from your block and start mending in your hands. Try to remove all lumps and air bubbles by rolling it back in forth between your fingers.
Next, roll out your clay on wax paper, making sure it’s even all the way through. If the clay is uneven, your earrings will be too.
Just like you would with cookie dough, punch out your shape then transfer onto a baking sheet. Don’t transfer with the wax paper because it will burn when you bake it.
Bake in the oven at 275° for 15 minutes. Let cool, then paint. Once the paint is dry, apply the earring backs with E-6000 glue and let dry fully overnight. Earrings will be wearable in the morning!
