Canela is a monospaced font family with four styles. The word Canela means cinnamon in Spanish, also the bark of the tree provides a spicy and sweet flavor to many different foods. This is just an example on how this typeface may be used, it can be seen as inspiration for typographic solutions.
Canela was created by Natanael Gama for exclusive use by Ramon Coz + abril publishing house . Ramon specializes in design books about Arts, Crafts, Advertising Design etc.. He gave Natanael Gama complete creative freedom when creating his own work.
Natanael has been working on several projects during the past year and he produced some really nice illustrations that I did not have time to show here. Maybe if he finds enough time he may write another post with his older work.
Today I just wanted to share my latest font with you, it is called Canela . Canela means Cinnamon in Spanish language.
Canela comes in four styles: Regular, Bold, Light and Shade which makes this typeface more versatile for use in different applications or designs projects. For instance I used the light version on the top of the illustration below because it allows me to place longer texts thinner lines etc.. Canelas has very distinct letter shapes where some are slightly diagonal while others are straight horizontal or vertical, these combination of elements gives the font a unique look that makes its own presence very obvious when used properly on your design projects.
The font face is monospaced (each letter has the same width), this means it could be great to use when creating posters, flyers, name cards or even logos. The character set supports over 170 different languages and includes regular, bold, italic and shadow styles.
