ApowerRecover (Repack & Portable) is a solution for recovering files lost due to accidental deletion, power outages during file editing, virus infection or other incidents. The creators of the application designed it to be simple, wizard-based for quick data recovery. As soon as you start the program, a wizard will open and you will be prompted to select the types of files you want to recover, be it photos, video and audio files, documents, archives or emails. The secret to high speed analysis lies in filtering the data for search. In other words, the more formats you select, the longer it takes to complete the scan of the application.
The next step requires you to select the location you want to scan. Shared locations such as the desktop and recycle bin are displayed along with a list of mapped drives. In addition, the program may try to recover the lost partition if you notice that the drive you are looking for was not detected by the PC. Clicking the Next button starts scanning. While the program is doing its job, the number of files found is updated in real time and displayed along with the remaining time.
A complete list of all found files is shown in the table with a preview area. At this stage, you can either try to recover the selected records, or perform a deep scan if the file you are looking for is not in the list.
