With new thousands of new cases daily, it’s become quite scary to go out of the house. Despite that, we all still need to work. But, working at home can be tiring. Don’t you wish your workstation view can change quite often, but without fear of catching the virus? Well, Nissan has the perfect solution with their NV350 Caravan Office Pod Concept.
The NV350 Caravan Office Pod Concept quite literally defines office on wheels. On the outside, it looks just like an NV350 panel van, albeit with an attachment on the roof, aftermarket wheels, and rugged styling. Let’s not forget to mention the funky body graphics too. But inside, the concept features a full working office space good for one. The office itself can even be pulled out for some fresh air goodness.
By one person, we mean that because there’s only one seat – a swivel chair. Not to mention there’s also a large PC that sits on the desk. However, we suspect can fit two people at most, but it will be a tight fit. Well, that’s unless the swivel chair is ditched for a standard unit and laptops replace the PC. But once the office slides out, there’s a lot more room inside the Office Pod Concept. Alternatively, the other person can work on the roof balcony accessible inside the cabin. Put up the foldable chairs, canopy, and tables, and you can have some fresh air. If you’re alone, it can be used for personal relaxation space, away from the office work below.
No details were mentioned, but Nissan does say the concept can go off-road. That said, it likes comes equipped with an all-wheel drive system.
As cool as the NV350 Caravan Office Pod Concept is, it is only a concept for the time being. It's unlikely Nissan will offer a production model of the mobile office in the future. But hey, with the virus still around, maybe this might just become one of Nissan’s best sellers.
