If you have saved some money use some of it for a capital and invest on food cart businesses like selling siomai or hotdog stalls, you could also sell other food card foods like fishball or kwek-kwek or even bbq or burger with matching palamig. Best if you don't get a franchise if you think you can make or get the food products you want to sell such as the siomai or hotdog because you can get these every where. If you live in big cities like Cebu or Manila you have a big chance to become successful in food business because big cities attract a lot of people and these people will be hungry at some point and will need to eat. If you have spare rooms or other house that you don't frequently use, you could turn that to bed and breakfast such as airbnb, just clean the room provide some nice bed, mat and blanket and repair the room to the point the it can attract travelers, put the rooms in airbnb platform then you are good to go to start accepting airbnb guests. Although it's still pandemic, you can still operate airbnb on some areas in thr country where health protocols have been lifted or has been no longer implemented. There are still many travelers who choose to stay in airbnb rooms because it's way cheaper than in hotels. Having or running your own business is the best way to generate income and everybody knows this but not everyone have the guts to do this because people have different strength and weaknesses. Some only want to earn money by working hard and end the day with their families, content with the life they currently have but when emergencies arises only then they will start to worry about money and why haven't they started saving early on or why haven't they saved enough. So I commend you for being able to think ahead.
