(KHNP) in Malacañan Palace. Under the MOU, KHNP will shoulder the entire cost of conducting the technical and economic feasibility study for the BNPP. The study aims to assess the viability, safety, and sustainability of various nuclear energy options, as well as help the Philippine government make well-informed decisions on pursuing nuclear energy to support the country’s long-term energy goals. President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Wednesday signed into law the measure seeking to impose a 12% value-added tax (VAT) on digital services provided by foreign companies. The ceremonial signing of Republic Act 12023 took place at the Ceremonial Hall of Malacañang Palace. ''We are not imposing new taxes, we are simply strengthening the authority and streamlining the process of the BIR to collect value-added tax on digital services,'' Marcos said in his speech during the signing. A 16-year-old girl was allegedly held captive in Tondo, Manila, for three days and raped several times by a 24-year-old man.

The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the suspect as Christian Navarro, a resident of Mithi Street, Tondo, Manila. According to the victim, she was abducted by the suspect from her hometown in Antipolo, Rizal on the morning of September 9 and taken to the suspect's house in Tondo where she was raped several times. From September 9 to 11, the suspect held the victim captive inside his house. On September 11, the victim asked the suspect if they could go to Luneta Park to which the suspect agreed to.
