Globe Telecom on Wednesday, May 9, announced it had activated the 1800MHz and 700MHz frequency in the town of Bongao, Tawi-Tawi. This will provide the people of the town with access to faster internet connectivity. Bongao is the capital of Tawi-Tawi, with 35 barangays and a population of over 100,000 people. It is also the home of the Mindanao State University-Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU-TCTO). In its statement, Globe said the connection speed registered 39 Megabits per second (Mbps) download and 17.25 Mbps upload in speed testing.
