Since it all started back in 1998, Google Doodles have gone from strength to strength, progressing from small tweaks of the logo to full-blown illustrations, animations and even interactive games.
As more and more people add Google search bars to their browsers, the ever-inventive Google Doodles give them a continuing reason to visit the Google homepage. These are the best of the last 14 years (in my opinion):
1. 50th Anniversary of the “I Have a Dream” Speech

2. Alessandro Volta’s 270th Birthday

3. 50th Anniversary of JFK’s Inauguration

4. Mark Twain’s 176th Birthday

5. Oscar Wilde’s 156th Birthday – The Picture of Dorian Gray

6. 40th Anniversary of Sesame Street

7. Discovery of the Aztec Sun Stone

8. Carnival 2014

9. 130th Anniversary of France delivering the Statue of Liberty to the United States

10. Bruce Lee’s 70th Birthday

11. Eclipse 2009

12. 20th Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall

13. 500th Anniversary of the “Piri Reis” Map

14. Bulgaria Liberation Day 2013

15. 2012 The End of the Mayan Calendar

16. New year 2015

17. 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil
