PHThrough BRP Lapu-Lapu (MMOV-5001), The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), has transported safely 125 units fiberglass boats, 125 units of stainless shafting, and 42 units of 7.5HP marine diesel engine from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Region VIII in Leyte to the Bicol region as of yesterday, 04 December 2020.
The supplies were received by BFAR Region V and were immediately distributed to local fishers who lost their boats and gear in the midst of the Super Typhoon Rolly onslaught.
The CCP is working hand in hand with the BFAR to provide the support needed for the most affected families in the Bicol area, especially those who depend solely on fishing as a source of income, for their rapid recovery and rehabilitation.
