Hello Everyone, in this post I'm going to explain the steps to be safe on online while browsing on internet
So I got an idea to make a post to aware people about how to be safe online. So I will try to cover all the basics steps that we need to implement.
First of all the SMART procedure-
1. S – (Safe) Ensure personal information and passwords are kept private.
2. M – (Meet) Never meet with an online friend in person, even you think you know that person well.
3. A – (Accept) Do not accept emails, instant messages and friend requests from people you don’t know.
4. R – (Reliable) Not all the information or people online are reliable, there is a lot of false information.
5. T – (Tell) Tell a trusted ãdül† if anything online makes you feel uncomfortable.
️Measures you can undertake to stay secure from cyber threats.
1. Use a different password for each account.
2. Important software like browser, payment wallet apps should be updated regularly.
3. Avoid opening links, prizes, gifts or discounts.
4. Download all software from authentic sources, avoid downloading software from torrent sites.
5. While using third party computers or mobiles for browsing use the private/incognito mode.
6. While using third party computers, use an on-screen keyboard while entering important details.
7. Use a good antivirus software suite
8. While logging in to any site check the URL, it should be exactly same as the site you want to log in to
9. Ensure the URL of the site contains HTTPS instead of HTTP
10. Keep up to date to major security breaches.
