solution:

we should know about hydrozen bonding

The Hydrogen bonding
is a special type of dipole-dipole attraction between molecules, it occurs when highly electronegative atom like F ,O , N is DIRECTLY connected with H atoms

so these atoms has higher elcetron negativity so they withdraw elcetrons of -H atom and creates + ve charge on H atom and -ve charge on itself.

This calculation I have done before for 540 pico meter

The crystalline structure of CdF2 is cubic. In each unit cell we have 4 Cd ions and 8 F ions.

The mass of unit cell is: (4*112.4+8*19)/(6.022*10^23) g = 9.99*10^ -22 g

The volume of unit cell is: 540.0 pm * 540.0 pm =1.5746*10^ -28 m3 = 1.5746*10^ -22 cm3

the density is simply d=m/v :

9.99*10^ -22 g / 1.5746*10^ -22 cm3 = 6.3445 g/cm3

PS: Density of CdF2 is actually 6.33 g/cm3.
 
d = Mass *N / Na * V

N = No of atoms in the unit cell = 4 [ 4Ag and 4 I ions are present in the structure ]

Na = avoagadro number = 6*10^23

V= volume = a^3 = 649 *10^-12 m = 649.6*10^-10 cm

Mass = Molecular weight of AgI = 234.77 gms

Keeping all values in above formula

density = 5.7 gm /cm^3
