Dunno that much about the individual terms but how about the similarities of the two as criticisms in itself. Both do the same thing in such a manner that both judge and analyze the merits and faults of a particular material.
According to Google, specifically Oxford Dictionary,
Criticism- the analysis and judgment of the merits and faults of a literary or artistic work.
