In an advisory, the DFA said "it is currently at a reduced capacity to receive incoming calls and to make outgoing calls through its trunklines and direct lines."

The DFA blamed this on the pilferage of cable lines installed by the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) along F.B. Harrison Street, the second time it has happened this year.

The DFA said PLDT is currently trying to address the issue to ensure normal telephone services are restored by June 2015.

However I have heard they are still having the same problem. They should have switched to a different provider. PLDT is a headache!
