❓ Help Which You Prefer Wireless Or Wired Internet Connection? Then, Why?

[theamicableone]

Energetic, radiant and engaging day fellow PhCorners just want to ask based on your experience, which internet connection did you prefer wireless/radio-based internet connection or wired/cabled internet connection? Then, why? And who is your ISP? Just please simply share your experience ! More power to both PhCorner members and PhCorner community !

Wired sir specially fiber like converge

[theamicableone]

Well! What is/are your application/s where you use your internet most of the time?

[paulosakuragi]

wired syempre mas stable ang connection

[theamicableone]

Oo tama ka dyan! Peru sa iba depende pa rin kung saan nila gagamitin.

[Nishita]

Wired sir. Mas stable yan kesa sa wireless.

[MichaelScarn]

Browsing/Downloading/Gaming purposes sir

[theamicableone]

Oo mas maganda nga pag ganito ang connection pangdownloading na walang patid or delay.

If you do games, wired connection is preferred. If you want to go on to the wireless route, make sure that the router and your phone or whatever device that you will use supports the 5G band. Though 5G band has a limited range of connection, it is much faster than the traditional 2.4gHz wifi band. Meaning to say that you will get wired connection speeds if you use the 5G band. As for stability in wireless connection, 2.4gHz is the one to go to.

[theamicableone]

Still. Oo tama ka dyan! Peru sa iba depende pa rin kung saan nila gagamitin.

[theamicableone]

Good day Madam Kim Da-hyun, what do you mean exactly of 2.4 GHZ? Does the 5G mobile technology needs the 2.4GHZ frequency to work effectively?

[Gawr Gura]

[XX='theamicableone, c: 178303, m: 1749662'][/XX] No, the 5gHz band has the shorter range of connection. And it can't penetrate walls enough than the 2.4gHz one.

[theamicableone]

So the 2.4 GHZ is the longe range connection, right?

[Gawr Gura]

[XX='theamicableone, c: 178303, m: 1749662'][/XX] Some devices(phones) supports dual band wifi (2.4gHz and 5gHz). So in order to use the 5gHz wireless band, the router should have 5gHz band and the device(phone) should also have 5gHz band. Most of the recent PLDT routers have dual band wifi connection. If I'm not mistaken they offered it on their fiber connection.

[Gawr Gura]

[XX='theamicableone, c: 178326, m: 1749662'][/XX] Yes it is.

[Skkrtskkrt]

Wired talga boss hehe

[theamicableone]

Good day Madam Kim Da-hyun thanks for the reply! But I am still curious, how come it is short range if it is measured in GHZ?

[theamicableone]

Oo tama ka dyan! Peru sa iba depende pa rin kung saan nila gagamitin.

[Gawr Gura]

[XX='theamicableone, c: 180723, m: 1749662'][/XX] as I've said, 5gHz can't penetrate walls enough as oppose to 2.4gHz. So the main difference between the two is 2.4gHz wifi band will provide a wider area coverage but sacrificies speed while 5gHz wifi band will provide faster speed but sacrificies area coverage. By gHz it means wireless transmission protocol.

[theamicableone]

5 GHZ is a fast limited area coverage wireless transmission protocol, right?
