No. Common misconception yan. RAM doesn't really affects the processing speed of the computer. Large rams are for application with high ram consumption like video editing software. 4gb is a decent one if you are not into those heavy computing things.
Games do really have a minumum and recommend ram capacity to load its program but performance wise, Ram doesn't affects the games graphic but the way the computer handles the program.

kamakain din yung gui nang OS mo nang ram, kaya nga my minimum specs sa RAM yung OS, the more processes you have the more ram it consumes.

4gig is not enough if you only have an onboard graphics.
