In his brilliant moves, Microsoft has released an update that checks your OS serial number against a list of known serials. And because of that if your serial matches the one of them then it puts a sneaky little message on the bottom right of your computer screen, and a system tray icon appears tells you to buy a genuine copy of windows.
It will also pop a dialog that say's:
Every time or every minute that balloon will pop up that saying “You may be a victim of software counterfeiting.” Below that it will say “This copy of Windows is not genuine. Click this balloon to resolve now.”
If you do not know about about and if its the first you see that i think you will be annoying in a hurry, and I imagining of it that most people gets in a hurry to buy a legit key just get stop that pop up.
I'm not good enough about fixing some problem of some windows, but fixing of this pop up is easy enough.
What to do to Fix it:
1. Reboot to safe mode.
2. Open HijackThis and scroll down to the section that says "020 – Winlogon Nofity: Wgalogon" select that, click fix checked.
3. Reboot after this. No longer should you get the popups and that nagger as you log in should not show up either.
OPTION: You can also go and delete the actual executable that nags you. The full path to it should be (for most installs) C:\Windows\System32\wgatray.exe.
