X was charge with the crime of homicide. A warrant of arrest was issued by the court. At the time of his arrest by a police officer, the latter was not in possession of the warrant. Can this be considered as warrantless arrest? Why?

di ko maintindihan yung the latter was not in possesion of the warrant

2: of, relating to, or being the second of two groups or things or the last of several groups or things referred to (yung pangalawa sa dalawa (or last) na nabanggit na subject sa sentence)
E.g.
of ham and beef the latter is cheaper today (beef is cheaper)
When offered a choice between a blue pill and a red pill, Keanu chose the latter. (Red pill pinili nya) kasalungat ng former (blue pill)

Sa case na bingay mo, latter refers to the police officer - At the time of his (X) arrest by a police officer, the latter was not in possession of the warrant.) Between X and police officer, latter si police officer, former si X.

if police officer conducting arrest he should bring the arrest warrant from court,(latter) means huling nabanggit sa salaysay..meaning yung pulis ang tinutukoy na walang dalang arrest warrant
if may warrant ka natural ibibigay ng pulis ang warrant sayo at babasahin mo bago ka arrestohin so alam mo kung anu kaso mo then ipapaalam sayo miranda rights mo habang inaaresto ka
