Loyal is showing complete and constant support for someone while Trust is about keeping your promises and doing what you are agreed for. So i think loyal is the more safer when it comes to pain.

Faithful is more better to describe a healthy relationship. It means both of you are committed and not doing anything that would endanger the relationship. Being loyal is good, it means he/she would stand by you no matter what happens. But most loyal people are often taken for granted and tagged fools at the end.
