"Transcend our own sufferings"

Overcome sufferings?

Glad you asked. It's more of like trying to do and make things around you to be good and better despite the inevitable existential sufferings of the world, without getting bitter and resentment. I think that's how you basically transcend your own sufferings. One good example is the famous quote in the Bible "Love your enemies, and pray for those who hurt you." The irrationality of that message is probably one of the reasons why some religious people disassociated Jesus to just simply a man, but beyond man. I don't want to sound like some Christian apologists, but if you think deeply and consider your sufferings as 'your enemies', metaphorically speaking, in the Bible quote and yet you continue to do good knowing something is conspiring to take you down. In rational perspective, we can draw a conclusion that it's either plain stupidity or there's something beyond about it. And I'm sure it is the latter.

Nice explanation. "Life is beautiful" really depends on how we accept and process things. Suffering is beautiful on one side of a coin and not on the other. There is good in everything, even the most darkest problem. I think this is very well related to "Hope".

I agree that it depends on how we perceive things in life. That's why beauty is generally subjective. Life's suffering is ugly and that is something you hate to be around you and sometimes people ignore or even deny its existence. But, there is some beauty in it until you understand the underlying meaning of why people suffer and how people confronted it. And you are right about how it is related to hope. Hope is what motivates people to move forward, given the inevitability of suffering.
